Bridgette's First Christmas

A wee bit late due to traveling and Gramps being sick in the hospital.

Christmas 2011 - Bridgette's First Christmas!!!

Finally getting caught up on my goal to keep up with all that happens in our families life. We had a great first Christmas with Bridgette. She was such a great traveler. Stetson was here this Christmas Break with us and we LOVED having him. On Christmas Eve we ended up staying home - watching A Christmas Story, eating appetizers for dinner and hanging out. We went to Dallas Christmas Morning for Christmas Dinner/Party at Dad's house. Then on the 26th we took Gramps back to Breckenridge (he had been with Dad for a week for a doctor visit and Christmas). Once we got him all settled we then drove to O'Donnell for Christmas with Big Mama. Linda came by Tuesday morning at Big Mama's and we had Christmas wtih her then. It was a LONG trip for a short visit but was nice.

It was  great time seeing family. I missed seeing my other side of the family.

Here are some pictures from Christmas!

Bridgette in her pretty Christmas dress going to see Santa.

We took Bridgette to see Santa at Post Oak Mall in College Station in the beginning of December, he was a great Santa and Bridgette did great!!! :) After we saw Santa we went to buy a tree and went home and decorated it. We ended up getting a fake tree but next year we can have the fake inside and the real one on the front porch! ;)

Cousin Stetson and Bridgette - Stetson came for his Christmas Break and worked with Nick.

Bridgette Christmas Day.

Will post more pictures of Christmas morning, Christmas Night - Doe Doe & Momo's party, and more!! :) Stay tuned!!

Bridgette's 2 Month Check Up

Bridgette went for her 2 month check up on Tuesday, November 8th. She has grown so much. She weighed 11 pounds 4 ounces and is 23 1/4 inches long. Such a big girl. She did so good taking her shots. She loved the oral shot just licked the medicine and cried when the nurse took it away. She calmed down before her other shots then didnt know what hit when she got her shots. I think it hurt Daddy as much as it hurt her. The nurse did them very quickly though and she calmed right back down as soon as we picked her up. The doctor said her weight and length puts her in the average catergory so that is great - she is growing great and very healthy. Praise the Lord for a healthy baby girl.

She is really holding her head up great!! She loves tummy time and loves her play mat. We have been playing more and more with it. She is starting to really notice the toys and kick them with her hands and feet. She loves the music and lights of the sound machine that came with the play mat. She also LOVES her swing!! She takes her morning and afternoon naps in it for right now but we are slowly moving to her crib for nap time. She still sleeps in her moses basket in our room but after Thanksgiving we are going to start moving her to her crib. Hopefully it will be a good adjustment. :) Praying that it goes smoothly. She notices as soon as we leave the room so I am a bit worried about it but I think she will do great. She is really starting to smile and us and coo. She will make lots of noises at us when we talk to her. It is soo much fun watching her grow and change constantly. She is also really following us with her eyes. The doctor said she cant really tell who we are but that they can definitely see us and follow us and by the next few weeks she will start to really see who we are from across the room much better. She is a joy to our lives and we love her so much!!

We dont go back to the doctor until her 4 month check up but she is doing great!! I took pictures of her 2 months. She is such a cutie - I know I am a bit biased. :) We are both madly in love with her.

Pam (Mimi), Mark (Pappi) and Patty (Gigi) took her for tonight and it is so nice to have a nice off, although I miss her. Nick is at a roping clinic with Forever Cowboys this weekend, he left tonight (Thursday) and will be there all weekend. Bridgette and I are going to stay the weekend with Stetson, Shelby, Bryndale, & Payten - we are so excited to see them!!

Heres some picture of Bridgette -- will post the 2 month pictures in a separate post.

Destiny Ranch

Nick accepted his dream job at Destiny Ranch in Madisonville, Texas in April. He had been contacted about this position back in January, 2011 and we both kept putting it off thinking that WE didnt want to move. I espescially didnt want to move, I loved being so close to my brother and his kids. I just loved the Bulverde/Spring Branch area, however, God had different plan for our lives. When we first came to meet with Pam, Patty & Mark at Destiny Ranch I just new that this was where we would be moving. I went to my brothers the day we got home and I cried and cried because I just knew that this was too great of an opportunity not to take and I couldnt hold Nick back from his dreams of getting back on a horse. Also, we had to make a decision to be close together and not living so far apart - that was not god on our marriage and also wouldnt be good when our baby girl arrived. We emailed back and forth until we both agreed on everything for us to move here. It was sad to say goodbye to our good friends in Bulverde/San Antonio. However, they will always be in our lives and our hearts. We met friends at Bulverde Baptist that will always hold a special place in our hearts and will never be forgotten. I hope we always stay in touch with them. We also had met so many great other people in the area that Nick and I hope we will always stay in touch with. We love all of you and still sad to be gone, but God has opened so many doors for us here in Madisonville. I know that he has great plans for our families lives; and I am so proud of my husband, Nick for pursuing his dreams. I pray that we continue to do God's will here.
Here are some pictures of the beautiful ranch we are now living on. If any of yall are in the Madisonville area or diving between Houston and Dallas we are just a short distance off of Interstate 45 so drop by and see us. Nick is doing great and bringing in more and more horses. Praying we continue to bring in more horses and continue to get the name out of Destiny Ranch. There is soo much potential and we pray that Gods will continues to prevail.

So heres the details of the last year and half of our lives.......

Sooooo much has been going on. Where do I begin. God has opened soo many doors for Nick and I in the last few months. First, we found out in Januray that we were expecting our first little baby. We were both soo excited. We found out that the baby was going to be a girl in March and we were sooo excited. I was so excited to start planning and coordinating the nursery. I was also very soo excited to find out that it was girl. I love all the clothes, bows, and more that a girl can wear!!!

Pictures of Puppies - Day 1

Heres some of the puppies.
Before she started to have them.

First Born

First 2 puppies.

I'm going to play around with my photoshop on the other pictures I have these aren't edited. So well see what I can come up with the rest. Will share those tomorrow!!

PUPPIES!!!

Zoey had her puppies last night, starting at about 1:05 am, she was sleeping in our bed and about 12:45 we moved her to the bathroom or so because she was constantly moving around, panting really heavy and you just could tell she was getting close. After about a 10-15 minute struggle we finally got her in the bathroom and about 5 minutes after we had her in the bathroom out came the first pup. A few minutes later the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4th, and then the 5th. Nick and I were shocked that she had that many puppies. We thought she would only have a few if more than 1. After the first one Zoey was really uncomfortable and so Nick and I sat in the bathroom with her and it really calmed her down. She cleaned all her puppies and started feeding them. Finally she got them all settled and was feeding them, Nick and I headed back to bed. About 2 hours later Nick got up to check on her and she had had ONE more puppy. When we got up for me to go to work we noticed she had another puppy. We couldn't believe that she had had 7 puppies!! We were in complete shock!! They are adorable. One is solid white. Two solid black puppies. Two gray and black spotted. Two gray and black spoted with white rings around them. Here is 1 picutes I took from my phone. I took a ton last night and will post them tonight!!
